BIO-STAR D
BIO-STAR D is a cellulose-based natural polymer drilling fluid system that promotes borehole stability, exhibits excellent hole cleaning and cuttings suspension. BIO-STAR D is easily broken down with hypochlorite oxidizing agents or enzyme breakers.
Application
BIO-STAR D is designed for use in drilling operations where bentonite is not permitted and a biodegradable fluid is specified. BIO-STAR D can also be used with bentonite for added fluid loss control and hole cleaning
Advantages
- Effective viscosity promotes efficient bore hole cleaning and cutting suspension
- Excellent dispersion and hydration (once pH adjusted to 7.5 - 10)
- Maintains borehole integrity without restricting natural porosity and permeability
- Easily broken following well screen installation with hypochlorite or enzyme breakers
